Once having lost their defending Ligue 1 champions status to Lille, Paris Saint-Germain, which had their ongoing deal with Neymar extended, are apparently planning to keep their other major resident star, notably French international winger and forward Kylian Mbappé (22), into their ranks. To this end, PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Canal+:

"Was it Mbappé' last match with us? Not at all. Kylian is a PSG player, and is going to carry on as such. We already have a top-notch team, and we want to make it even stronger. We are going to carry out every evaluation needed, together with Pochettino and Leonardo. Of course Covid is making everything harder, but we are not stuck. We haven't lost our ambitions, neither football-wise nor finance-wise".

Currently on a deal with PSG until June 2022, Mbappé has so far scored 132 goals for the club, across 171 official games overall amount.
