German newspaper Bild recently claimed that the release clause in 23 year-old French winger Marcus Thuram’s contract has now expired. It stood at £26 M, but interested parties have now missed the boat. Borussia Monchengladbach could now demand a much higher transfer fee, valueing him £35 M, but Spurs seem very interested and could even raise his wage: a quality addition for the 2021-22 campaign.
Thuram has played 40 games last season, netting 11 goals and providing 12 assist. He is now at Euro 2020 with France, but he has not featured in any of the two matches played by the Bleus so far.
