RMC Sport reported last night that Premier League side Newcastle United have submitted a €14m + €2m bonuses offer for Swedish midfielder Jens Cajuste, as competition intensifies for Rennes in their pursuit of the 22-year-old FC Midtjylland midfielder.

Rennes have had their 3 bids knocked back by the Danish club for Cajuste, who earlier this window had made a move to the Ligue 1 club a priority. But with the Magpies entering the race, it appears possible that the cards are going to be redistributed.
