Mason Mount, a midfielder for England and Chelsea, said on Monday that being included to the Ballon d'Or shortlist of 30 players was an honor.

After a year in which he helped the Blues win the Champions League and England reach their first major tournament final since 1966, the 22-year-old maintained he is only getting started.

"It was special. To see that and to be alongside those names is obviously a dream," Mount told reporters ahead of England's World Cup qualifier against Hungary on Tuesday.

"For all the years you work hard, dedicate and see something like that, it shows everything pays off. It is just the start, it doesn't stop now."

Mount does not expect to win the trophy, as Lionel Messi, who led Argentina to Copa America success, is the favorite to win it for the eighth time.
