The reds have been linked with a host of players across the midfield and attack to bolster their options. One player that they have been rumoured to be keen on is Leicester City youngster Harvey Barnes.

In spite of this, it now appears that any hopes of snapping up Barnes are set to be dashed. According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Englishman is set to sign a new lucrative contract with the Foxes. The club are clearly eager to tie the 23-year-old down to a better deal.
