In a new report by English transfer market outlet The Transfer Tavern, Leicester City seem to be on the trail for Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi.
Berardi, who played an important role for Italy, mainly as a substitute after Federico Chiesa emerged as Mancini's starter in Euro 2020, has been linked with a handful of clubs this summer like Juventus and A.C. Milan. The striker's future, however, could be away from Italy, as Leicester are now reportedly trying to bring him to King Power Stadium.
He would certainly bring a scoring threat to the Foxes, given that he netted 17 goals in 30 Serie A appearances with Sassuolo last season. A natural left-footed player, he loves to go one on one with defenders and either go towards the touchline for a cross or cut inside for a shot. We'll see where Berardi ends up, but as we get closer to the end of the transfer window, Leicester will have to get a move done sooner rather than later if they want him.
