Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey extends Ghana absence
Adam Kwarasey’s self-imposed exile from international football continues after the Portland Timbers goalkeeper was left out of Ghana’s squad for two friendlies against Senegal and Mali.
The 27-year-old ejected himself from the Black Stars when he launched a scathing attack on goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu after the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Kwarasey questioned Yakubu’s credentials and accused him of favouring Fatau Dauda ahead of him.
Last month, the former Stromsgodset captain announced he was ready to stage a return but it looks like that will be in June when the qualifiers to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations commence.

The black stars need dedicated players and not those who think they are better than other players.
