Pochettino reveals why he turned down Tottenham return

Mauricio Pochettino has explained that he rejected the opportunity to return to Tottenham because of his commitments as United States head coach ahead of the forthcoming World Cup.

The Argentine said Tottenham had approached him about a possible second spell in charge, but he was unable to accept the offer while preparing the United States for the tournament.

Pochettino managed Tottenham from 2014 to 2019. During his time at the club, he led them to a runners-up finish in the English top flight and guided them to the Champions League final.
