Former Arsenal forward, Chuba Akpom has been nominated for the 2022/2023 Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season award, Nigeriasoccernet.com  reports.

The Middlesbrough striker has been on fire all season causing problems for the opposition defense while topping the English Football league scorers’ chat with 26 goals.

Also in contention are Coventry’s Viktor Gyokeres and Burnley’s Josh Brownhill who have scored eighteen and 8 goals respectively.

Meanwhile, Boro’ manager, Michael Carrick faces a strong test from  Vincent Kompany (Burnley) and Mark Robins (Coventry City) in the running to be named EFL Championship Manager of the Season.

Winners will be announced at the 2023 EFL Awards evening on Sunday 23 April.
