Kano Pillars say they have no intention of sacking manager Mohammed Babaganaru despite recent poor results which has seen the team crash out of the Federation Cup in its early stages and drop out of the top three in the Nigerian top flight.

In a chat with Reporters, 'Masu Gida' media officer Idris Malikawa said though the team is aware of the rumours making rounds that the former Nasarawa United coach will be relieved of his duties soon, the official position remains that he's fully in charge and everything will be done to ameliorate the present situation.

"We (Kano Pillars) have also been hearing and reading all the reports but the truth is his job is not under threat, when he was doing well some of this same people were hailing him, so the objective for us at the moment is to rally round and remedy the situation and that's what we are doing at the moment," Malikawa said.

Meanwhile, Pillars defender Jamiu Alimi has pleaded with the team's fans to be patient with their embattled coach Babaganaru, promising the club will bounce back to winning ways.

Pillars have managed only one win in their last six NPFL games, but the 24 year old former Shooting Stars defender says the four-time Nigerian champions will bounce back from its current predicament with a view to wrestling the NPFL title from Enyimba.

"Hello great fans. Few weeks haven't been smooth. Football brings such ugly moment, we need your support to bounce back," Alimi tweeted on his Twitter handle.

The former CAF Champions League semi-finalists will be aiming to bounce back when they host Abia Warriors at the Sani Abacha Stadium this weekend.
