Paulo Fonseca makes Sporting return as Lyon receive €5m compensation

Lyon have confirmed that Paulo Fonseca has left the club to continue his career with Lisbon club Sporting.

The Portuguese manager asked to depart after receiving an offer from his former club.

Sporting will pay Lyon €5m to end Fonseca’s contract early. Jorge Maciel will take temporary charge of Lyon.
