Ghanaian international forward Patrick Twumasi feels he is ready to bang in the goal for FC Astana as the Kazakhstan Premier League is set to get underway this weekend.

The 20-year-old former Red Bull Academy graduate helped the Premier League title-holders to win the Kazakhstan Super Cup on Monday after 3-2 penalty shoot-out triumph over Kairat FC.

"It was a great feeling to win the title but the real work begins next weekend as the season starts. I scored a lot of goals last seasons and obviously there will be massive expectations on me," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Twumasi joined Astana last season and notched 11 goals to helped them win the Premier League title after the Championship play-offs.
