Nigeria and South Africa are set for a challenging journey at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, following the unveiling of the football event draw, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Falcons will clash with Bayana Bayana in a double-header showdown, with Nigeria hosting the initial leg in Abuja on April 5th, followed by the return leg at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on April 9th.

The victor of this clash will confront defending FIFA World Cup champions Spain in Paris, as per the draw. Joining the African qualifier in Group C are South American powerhouses Brazil and Japan.

Nigeria, aiming to make their first Olympic appearance in 16 years, faces the task of overcoming South Africa, against whom they have struggled in recent encounters.

The pressure is on Nigeria to break their winless streak and secure their spot in the prestigious tournament.
