In a tactical move, Greek Super League side PAOK Salonica and the Nigeria Football Federation have agreed to postpone William Troost-Ekong's arrival at the Super Eagles camp for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Troost-Ekong, a key player in the squad, will now join the national team a day later after being granted permission to feature in a crucial league game against OFI.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and Samuel Chukwueze also receive NFF approval to link up with the squad on Wednesday due to club commitments.

The Super Eagles' journey begins in Abu Dhabi before soaring to Cote d’Ivoire on January 10.
