Oyo Governor's Cup: Zonal elimination to begin on Tuesday
The Zonal Elimination of the 2024 Oyo Governor's Cup will start on Tuesday at various venues according to the fixtures done on Saturday, the 25th of May.
Over 200 Schools from every nooks and crannies of Oyo State, took part in the Preliminary Qualifiers, which ended last Wednesday, producing 33 Schools that will play in the Zonal Elimination games.
On Tuesday, Ilora Baptist Grammar School, will face Fasola Grammar School, in the second game, Olivet Baptist Heights, Oyo, will play against Isale Oyo Community Secondary School, both games will be played at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo.
While on Wednesday at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo, Anglican Methodist Secondary School, Oyo and Ladigbolu Grammar School, Oyo, will battle for a place in the next round, while Isale Oyo Commercial School, Oyo and Awe High School, Awe, will play the last gane of the day.
At the Urban Day Secondary School Pitch, Ibadan on Tuesday, Bishop Philip Academy will trade tackle with Methodist High School, by 9am, while T. L Oyesina Model School and Zumuratul Hujaj will slug it out , by 11am.
At the Ibarapa Zone, Bioku Grammar School Lanlate will face Ayete Grammar School at the Tapa Community High School, Tapa, by 10am.
The Competition is an initiative of the Schools Sports Foundation, headed by Yomi Elijah, a UK trained Football Coach and former Coach of Remo Stars, Lobi Stars, ABS FC, Kogi United and is proudly sponsored by Peculiar Ultimate Concerns, other partners are Olafiranye Sports Foundation, the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Ministry of Sports, Oyo State Sports Council, Kidzfoot Nigeria and others.
