Newly promoted La Liga outfit, Real Oviedo, have announced the acquisition of Nigerian midfielder Ovie Ejaria on a 2-year deal ahead of the new season, where they will be competing across all domestic competitions, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Ovie Ejaria has been training with Real Oviedo’s first team under head coach Veljko Paunovic in recent weeks, ahead of the new season in the Spanish First Division.
The 27-year-old midfielder joins Oviedo after five seasons with Reading, where he played until the end of the 2022/2023 campaign.
A product of Liverpool’s youth academy, Ejaria also had spells at Rangers and Sunderland, and represented England at the U-20 World Cup.
His arrival is expected to bolster Oviedo’s midfield options as they prepare for top-flight competition.
He's expected to be officially presented to the fans in the coming days, where he will have his first media duties.
