Osimhen secures Turkish Cup for Galatasaray
Nigeria Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, put up a heroic performance to give Galatasaray their first Turkish Cup in five years after beating Trabzonspor, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The goal poacher scored a brace to lift Galatasaray 3-0 above Trabzonspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup final at the Gaziantep Stadium.
Baris Alper Yilmaz opened the score in the 5th minute following an assist by Yunus to rattle the crowd.
Osimhen doubled the lead a minute into the second half after he overpowered the defender to hit a shot to the near corner.
He made it 3-0 with his second of the day after hitting from close range Yunus' cross in the 63rd minute to seal the win and Galatasaray's 19th Turkish Cup.
