Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen continued his goal scoring form since his return from the African Cup of Nations after scoring a hattrick and providing an assist to help Napoli beat Sassuolo in the Italian Serie A, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The reigning champions of the Italian Serie A came from a goal down to ease pass Sassuolo 6-1 at Stadio Città del Tricolore in the match day 26 fixture on Wednesday night.

Uros Racic had opened score for the hosts 17 minutes into the game before Amir Rrahmani restored parity for the Gli Azzurri 12 minutes later.

Nigerian goal poacher, Osimhen ensured the visitors went into the dressing room at the end of half time with a 2-goal lead after scoring a brace in 10 minutes.

He scored the first in the 31st minute and the second in the 41st minute.

At the resumption of the second half, the Super Eagles number 9 completed his hattrick just 2 minutes into the half after a defensive mix up in the Sassuolo box 18. It was his 5th goal in 3 matches since his return from the AFCON.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia wrapped up the rout with a brace in the 51st minute with an assist from Osimhen and the 75th minutes to give Napoli a resounding victory.

The result means Napoli are now 9th on the log with 40 points while Sassuolo stay 18 with 20 points after 26 matches.
