Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has revealed he is in no competition with Manchester City talisman, Erling Haaland but rather love and mutual respect, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The duo of Osimhen and Haaland have been two of the most hottest strikers in Europe this season with the Norwegian leading the Top scores’ chart in England and Osimhen, Italy.

Despite the everyday comparison between the two prolific goal poachers, the Nigeria international striker disclosed how he teammates help led get Haaland’s jersey.

“Leo Ostigard spoke to me a lot about him, how hard he trained, then one day he said: ‘If you want, I can bring you his shirt.’ I said: ‘Of course, bro.’

”So he spoke to Haaland, who also asked for my shirt, so we swapped them through Ostigard. He is one of the best of his generation, so to be compared with him – and considered one of the best strikers in the world – only inspires me to do more,” Osimhen said as per Daily Post.

While Osimhen will need a late fitness test to determine his availability against AC Milan, Manchester City will be counting on Haaland against Bayern Munich in the quarter final first-leg of the UEFA Champions league this midweek. Dare Ogun
