Francesco Calzona, the interim coach for Napoli, expresses optimism regarding Victor Osimhen's swift return to top form, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen's recent performance saw him scoring in Napoli's 1-1 draw against Cagliari, marking his second consecutive goal after his return to the club following a month-long international duty.

Calzona, reflecting on Osimhen's contribution, remarked, "He was only tired," during an interview with DAZN via Football Italia. "Victor is a fantastic guy. He scored two goals in two matches and will slowly get back in shape."

The Nigerian forward, who showcased his prowess with a goal against Barcelona in Calzona's inaugural game, had recently participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), contributing to his fatigue upon returning.

Despite the challenges, Osimhen has notably tallied eight goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season and an additional goal in five UEFA Champions League outings.
