Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen failed to find the back of the net as Galatasaray suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to Be?ikta? in the Turkish Süper Lig, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen, who had represented Nigeria during the international break, started the match but was unable to add to his impressive goal tally. Rafa Silva opened the scoring for Besiktas in the 23rd minute, before Lucas Torreira equalised for Galatasaray just before half-time.

However, Gedson Fernandes sealed the win for the hosts, ending Galatasaray's unbeaten run.

Despite the setback, Osimhen remains the leading scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig this season, with 20 goals from 22 matches.

Galatasaray remain top of the table with 71 points from 28 games.
