Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has thanked his friends, family and supporters after winning the Italia Footballers’ Association (AIC) Player of the Year award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen on Monday was voted the best player in Italy following his outstanding contribution to Napoli’s Serie A success last season.

The Nigeria internal scored 26 goals in the league helping the Pattonepei clinch their first league title in 33 years.

After winning the award, the 24 year-old took to his X-handle to appreciate his allies and supporters.

Osimhen has had an injury hampered season this year but the former Lille striker has scored six league goals.
