Nigerian forward Asisat Oshoala has lauded her Bay FC teammates for their resilient performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw against North Carolina Courage, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Oshoala, who scored her fifth goal of the season in the 11th minute, expressed pride in her team's efforts against a formidable opponent.

"It was a good feeling, especially for the team. Great efforts from the guys against a very tough side," Oshoala told the club's official website.

The home team equalized through Ashley Sanchez just 12 minutes later, but Oshoala remained upbeat about the result.

"They are a good team and play good football as well. It was difficult, but we were able to get one point, and it's a big point for us," she added.

With North Carolina Courage a strong contender for the playoffs, Oshoala acknowledged the significance of the draw.

"At this stage, every point we get is very important. It was a good outing for us physically and mentally."
