Raphael Onyedika has reportedly turned down a new contract offer from Club Brugge KV as he pushes for a move away from the Belgian Pro League side this summer, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad, the club have made several attempts to extend the midfielder’s deal, but the Nigeria international has declined all proposals so far, signalling his intention to seek a new challenge.

Onyedika was previously linked with a move to Galatasaray S.K. and VfL Wolfsburg during the January transfer window. However, Club Brugge opted to retain the defensive midfielder at the time.

Interest in the 23-year-old continues to grow, with Aston Villa F.C. among the clubs closely monitoring his situation ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Onyedika joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022 and has since developed into a key figure in the squad. He currently has around one year remaining on his contract with the 19-time Belgian champions.

With no agreement reached over an extension, the coming months could prove decisive in determining the midfielder’s next destination.
