With hours left to end the 2024/25 summer transfer window, Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu looks set to return to Turkey as Trabzonspor finalizes negotiation with Southampton, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Following his impressive season-long loan with Trabzonspor during the 2023/24 season where he scored 15 goals and provided four assists in 21 league appearances, the club is keen on getting him on a permanent deal.

After initially having their offer of €7 million rejected by the Saints, Trabzonspor and Southampton are said to be in advance negotiation for the Nigerian who is now seen as surplus to requirements at St Mary’s.

Onuachu is reportedly eager to make his move to Turkey permanent, with Trabzonspor’s president confirming that discussions are ongoing. The Turkish club is confident of reaching an agreement with Southampton before the English transfer window shuts, especially given that the Turkish window remains open for over two weeks longer.

A permanent move to Turkey will end the Nigerian nightmares at Saint Mary's.
