Newly promoted Persian Gulf Pro League Sanat Naft Abadan FC have completed the signing of ex-Flying Eagles stopper Rasheed Alabi.

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the central defender has appended his signature to a one-year deal with Sanat Naft, with the option for additional seasons inserted into the contract.

Alabi first played for Cypriot club Doxa Katokopias when he departed the shores of the country, before joining AC Omonia where he enjoyed relative success and featured in a Europa League game against Man City.

After six seasons with AC Omonia, he spent time at Leixões before returning to Cyprus to sign for Pafos FC.

Sanat Naft Abadan F.C gained promotion to the topflight at the end of the 2015-2016 season after finishing third in the Azadegan League.
