Olakunle Olusegun has expressed his excitement after receiving his first invitation to the Super Eagles, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 23-year-old striker, who plays for Krasnodar in Russia, was called up by head coach Eric Chelle for the upcoming friendly against Russia.

Olusegun, who had a successful season with Krasnodar, helping them win the league title, joined the team's training session in Moscow on Tuesday.

He described the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles as a dream come true.

"It's a privilege, and it's an honour for me," Olusegun said in an interview with the Super Eagles media.

"What every player wants is to play for their national team... it's not by my power or how I play."

Olusegun's skillset is most likely to be put to test on Friday when Nigeria take on Russia.
