The 28-year-old returns to Pittodrie following a successful loan spell during the second half of last season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Olusanya becomes Aberdeen’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window after impressing during his temporary stay at the club, where he scored two goals in 16 league appearances.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson expressed his delight at securing the striker’s services permanently, highlighting his pace, strength, work ethic and ability to offer a different dimension in attack.

According to Robinson, Olusanya’s familiarity with the club and understanding of the demands of representing Aberdeen made the deal an easy decision, while the club remains confident there is still more to come from the forward.

Speaking after completing the move, Olusanya admitted that returning to Aberdeen was a straightforward choice. He revealed that he felt welcomed from the moment he arrived in January and enjoyed both life at the club and in the city.

The striker also noted that a full pre-season will help him build on the progress he made during his loan spell, while his existing relationship with Robinson provides a strong platform to continue improving.

Olusanya further praised the club’s supporters and reiterated his determination to contribute to Aberdeen’s ambitions of competing for honours and challenging near the top of the league table.

He is expected to join his teammates later this week as preparations begin for the 2026/27 season.
