Okoye praises Russia's high level for Super Eagles draw

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has praised Russia's performance in their 1-1 international friendly draw on Friday night, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The match, held at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, saw Okoye make several crucial saves to secure a point for Nigeria.

Okoye acknowledged the challenge posed by the Russian team, saying, "The Russian team showed a very high level.

"We had to give it our all to play on equal terms with them." He added that it was a great match for the fans.

The Udinese shot-stopper also commented on the stadium atmosphere and the match ball, noting that the balls were "a little easier than usual."
