Milan have formalized the purchase of Mike Maignan. Here is the full press release. AC Milan is pleased to announce that it has definitively acquired the sporting performances of French footballer Mike Maignan from LOSC Lille as of 1 July 2021. The goalkeeper has signed a contract with the Rossoneri club until 30 June 2026 and will wear the shirt number 16.
Born in Cayenne (French Guiana) on 3 July 1995, Mike Maignan grew up in the youth sector of Paris Saint-Germain. In the summer of 2015 he moved to LOSC Lille with whom he made 180 appearances in six seasons, winning the title of French Champion in the championship just ended. After playing in all the youth selections in France, from the Under 16 to the Under 21, in October 2020 he made his debut with the senior national team and is included in the list of 26 squads who will take part in the 2021 European Championships.
