After a rumor mill that reportedly saw him in talks with a number of LigaMX clubs, Mexican-Peruvian striker Santiago Ormeno will finally join Leon for the upcoming season, as announced in a statement on the club's official Twitter account:

Ormeno was a highly sought after profile, after he stood out with Pubela in the last two tournaments, where he scored 17 goals in 36 appearences with La Franja. Such performances caught the attention of Peru National team manager Ricardo Gareca, who has included the striker on a provisional list to play the upcoming Copa America with the andinos. He now joins new manager Ariel Holan who will be delighted to add him to the squad as their first signing.
