Nigerian prodigy, George Illenikhena has been voted Royal Antwerp player of the month of December 2023, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 17 year-old scored 5 goals in 7 games in all competitions in December, including the winning goal in Antwerp’s win over Barcelona in UEFA Champions League.

Born in Lagos to Nigerian parents, Illenikhena moved to France at the of three with his parent making his way through youth rank of Ligue 1 outfit, Amiens before the move to Antwerp in the transfer summer of 2023.

Illenikhena has scored five times in 18 Jupiter Pro League this season.
