Enyimba Football Club have officially unveiled assistant Coach Yemi Olarenwaju as the substantive coach of the club on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Olarenwaju will take over for the 2024/2025 season after signing a one-year contract.

“I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful to the club’s chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, for the trust he has placed in me,” Yema said. “We’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m excited to lead the team to even greater heights.”

Chairman Kanu Nwankwo praised Coach Yemi’s contributions to the team’s success and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the team as head coach.

“Coach Yemi has been an invaluable member of our coaching staff,” Kanu said. “We believe he has the skills and expertise to take the team to the next level, and we look forward to seeing the team thrive under his leadership.”

The former MFM FC and Vandrezzer FC gaffer has seen is career take a high trajectory after joining Enyimba FC as assistant coach in 2022.

He had also coached NLO sides Magate FC and Iganmu FC prior to this time.
