In a tweet on the Queretaro FC official Twitter account, the club announced that they have signed Argentinian defender Nicolas Sanchez, who join the club on a free transfer:

Sanchez most recently played for Rayados de Monterrey, and was considered an important piece in Monterrey's defense; however, the Argentinian decided to test the open market and not resign with Rayados, who instead opted to sign Mexican international Hector Moreno to replace him. According to multiple reports, Sanchez also received interest from Toluca, but ultimately decided to sign for the Gallos Blancos, and will now bring his experience, which includes a LigaMX title with Monterrey in 2019, to a Queretaro side that are looking to be one of the protagonists of the upcoming Apertura, also reportedly in talks with German striker Lukas Podolski
