Odibe Sent Off In A Romanian League Game
Nigeria defender Michael Odibe was sent off in a Romanian league game as his club Concordia were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Botosani.
The 27-year old started in central defence in a back-five for the home side and was impressive as they took a 28thminute lead in the game.
But with Botosani equalising shortly after the break, Odibe was shown a yellow card in the 62nd minute for a rough challenge on a Botosani striker.
The former Arsenal Kiev defender kept pulling his weight notwithstanding, as he continued helping Concordia thwart further attacking threats by their visitors, but just when he would have ended the game on a high, he was shown another yellow card, which resulted in him being sent off five minutes into stoppage time.
The game was his 12th of the season in all competitions and he has scored one goal.
Meanwhile, former Super Eagles midfielder Christian Obodo played all 90 minutes for Concordia
