Players and officials of FC IfeanyiUbah have been rewarded with a sum of N10m by the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, for winning the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Federation Cup. The governor announced the reward when he received the victorious players and their officials at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Awka on Wednesday during their trophy parade. The financier of the club, Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, few weeks ago also gave out the same amount to the players for their success in the competition. The Anambra Warriors beat Nasarawa United 5-4 on penalities in the final at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos to lift the trophy for the first time. They will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time next year.
