Abia Angels FC recorded another win in their second match of the Nigeria Women Football League season after defeating Royal Queens in Sapele on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Following their 3-2 win over Adamawa Queens on match day 1 at the Enyimba International Stadium, the Aba side followed with a 1-0.

Abia Angels' win came courtesy of Charity Isaiah's header at the dead of the first half at the Sapele Township Stadium.

Confluence Queens also recorded their second win of the season after edging Adamawa Queens 1-0 from the boot of Mary Mamudu in the 72nd minute.

Remo Stars Ladies for the second consecutive match got a vital draw against another giant of the league, Delta Queens in Asaba.

The Sky Blue Stars Queens come from behind courtesy of Arubo Oluwaseyi's powerful shot after Alaba Olayemi had put the defending champions ahead late in the first half.

The highlight of the match day was the encounter between Rivers Angels and Edo Queens in Porthacourt.

Motunrayo Ezekiel opened score for the host in the 6th, but  Suliat Abideen restored parity for the Benin Queens in the 36th minute.

However, Ezekiel scored a brace to restore the lead in the 74th minute before Chiamaka Okwuchukwu put thr icing on the cake 10 minutes before regulation time.
