Former Flying Eagles midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali is confident his Norwegian side IK Start will not be relegated at the end of the season in spite of their poor start to the campaign.

Nwakali who scored his second goal of the season as Start drew 1-1 away to Aalesund in a relegation dogfight at the Color Line Stadion rued his team's inability to win after 11 games in the Tippeligaen.

He told Completesportsnigeria.com that the scoreline was not a true reflection of the team's play on Monday.

"We were just unlucky to draw because we had so many chances to win the game," former Nigeria U-17 star Nwakali told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"But I don't think we will be relegated. We just need a win to kick-start our season again."

IK Start have failed to win a game this season and have drawn five of their 11 matches.

Nwakali has played nine times in the Tippeligaen and has scored one league this season.
