NPFL'23 Super Six: No team will get undue venue advantage - IMC
Ahead of the fast approaching Nigeria Premier Football League super six, chairman of the League Interim Management, Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye has hinted no team will get venue advantage, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Elegbeleye during his speech early this week in Lagos said a lot of factors would be put into consideration before making the final decision on the venue for the super six.
Speaking also on the venue issue during the conference is IMC’s Head of Operations, Davidson Owumi who on his part disclosed that Lagos and Abuja have been pencilled down as provisional venues.
“We are keeping the issue of venue very close to our chest. We will look at several factors before announcing it. First and foremost, we would want to be fair to the teams in terms of neutrality. We have to consider marketing, TV friendly nature of the venue and all that,” Owumi said.
With few games left to end the regular season, teams are still justling for a place in the off-season super six.
