NPFL'23: Doma United's brace hero expresses joy
Just like newly promoted club Bendel Insurance are doing in group A, Doma United have been enjoying their first ever season in the NPFL and they're on the verge of securing a Super Six slot, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The Savannah Tigers on Sunday smashed two goals past visiting Wikki Tourist, a result that temporarily placed them on second on the log before Rivers United's 1-0 win over Dakkada FC on Monday.
However the team remain 3rd on the log and the man who made it happen with a brace on Sunday, Usman Musa can't seems to have the strength to curtail his joy.
“I am excited really. I thank God for giving me the chance to score goals and I must appreciate my team mates who work tireless and have been supportive," he said after the game.
"I have prepared to score more goals and in sha Allah, I will score more goals against Bayelsa," he added.
"It was unfortunate that I picked up an injury recently but with help of my medics I was able to shake it off and I am back again to continue from where I stopped,” he concluded.
Doma United next league game will be against Bayelsa United at the Pantami Stadium on Sunday 23rd April. A win could see them climb further on the log.
