Katsina United after their 2-1 loss to Plateau United bounce back to beat South East regional champions, Rangers International to win 1-0.

A goal by Umar Muhammad sealed the win for the Gwagware Boys over the young Flying Antelopes who lost the opportunity to restore parity after a penalty miss in the second half.

In the second encounter of the day, there was nothing to choose between the two winners of matchday 1 as it ended goalless between Rivers United and Plateau United.

All the five teams will play each other in six days to determine the winner with the highest points.
