NPFL Youth League: Enyimba's consecutive wins unable to seal qualification to next round
Enyimba FC U-19 secured their second win on the bounce in the Nigeria Premier Football League to brighten their chances of qualification, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Young Elephants defeated Rangers International's young Antelopes by a goal to nil to earn consecutive wins at the Umuahia centre.
A goal by star man, Nelson Sule at the stroke of half time following a foul on Peter Daniel by the goalkeeper in the box was all the Aba giants needed to win the game.
The win comes two days after the Blue Boys from Aba defeated Rivers United 2-0, following goals from Emmanuel Chinedu and Nelson Sule.
Sule now has 3 goals in 3 matches after his first goal from a free kick in the 2-3 loss over Lobi Stars in Enyimba's first game.
However, the results were not enough to earn Enyimba qualification to the next round as Lobi Stars, who top the Umuahia zone 2, go through.
