Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourists will embark on smoking out their players allegedly involved in betting scandal and match fixing, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

Some of the players according to Daily Post were accused of match-fixing and betting for selfish reasons.

The development which has frustrated the club’s hierarchy and the supporters, had forced a club chairman, Balarabe Douglas to literally make a firm statement.

“The players involved have really frustrated the efforts of the team and the management in all the matches of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL),” the club chairman, Balarabe Douglas, said.

Wikki Tourists must now win their remaining three league games to at least stand they chance if remaining in the league.

The Bauchi Elephants occupy the bottom spot on the Group B table as they play Abia Warriors on Sunday.
