Nasarawa United  have  unveiled 13  new  players   as they move to  strengthen their title bid.

 The  Premier League  entered its second week on Wednesday with matches across the country,  and the chairman of the Lafia  club Isaac Danladi  said he was confident that the new players would help the team.

Danladi, who   says  Nasarawa State Governor  Tanko Al-Makura  is committed to the success of the team,  says the Solid Miners are the league and Federations Cup titles. The team lost 5-4 on penalties to IfeanyiUbah in the final of the Federation Cup in Lagos last year.

The chairman, who is also chairman of club owners in Nigeria,   said  Nasarawa   had  paid the coaches and players  all their entitlements.

He  said the management team and the players have  enjoyed a sustained cordial working relationship towards achieving the desired objectives.

Danladi said the management had  decided to improve on the team’s  youth system to produce quality players.

He called on all sports  lovers in  the 13  local government and 18  development areas of the state to support the club, promising that they would win titles for the state this season.

The new players are Jacob Ogunleye, Adamu Lawal, Mohammed Galadima, Antonin Oussou, Buhari Jafar, Victor Okoro, Rabiu Shehu, Abubakar Ahmed and  Jide Williams.

The rest are Abdulkadir  Abolaji, Mohammed Wakeso,  Muhammed Lawal and Ismaila Dogo.
