A head of the NPFL Week 37 Sunday’s clash between Ikorodu United and visiting Enugu Rangers at the MKO Abiola Stadium, which would definitely determine the Flying Antelope title ambition, the host had warned that there would be no favour for their guest.

Ikorodu United lanky forward, Moses Ebiye has told Enugu Rangers in no unmistakable term to prepare for their toughest match in the on-going Nigerian top-flight.

Ebiye said the Coal City side are bookmakers favourite to win the encounter but quickly added that it will not come on a platter of gold.

“We know the clash is certain a make or mar tie for Enugu Rangers to accomplish their season’s dream to be champions once again. We know it’s a-must-win game or Cup final of a sort but Rangers need to watch it as the game may turn out to be their hardest and toughest match of the season.

“Rangers are the better side and most experienced as well as favourites to win the crucial encounter. So if Rangers must win the clash they must sweat to their panties but as to lie down for Rangers to ride over us that will not happen.“People call us spoilers we are not but keen participants and stakeholders in the on-going top-flight.

Our fate may have been decided even before the final day in the top-flight we are not ready to cheaply give out points to any side. “We want to close our top-flight experience and stint with victory and there is no better way of doing it than go down in history as the team that edged notable sides in the land, Heartland, Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Enugu Rangers,” said Ebiye.

Ikorodu United are bottom on the top-flight log on 32 points with two games against league leaders, Enugu Rangers and Warri Wolves to close their race in the on-going league season.
