Akwa United head coach Deji Ayeni has told his players to keep up with the current energy level ahead of this weekend tie agent Nasarawa United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Uyo based club is unbeaten in the last seven league games despite playing teams like Eyimba, Bendel Insurance, Plateau United and Remo Stars.

Coach Ayeni then praises his team for their spirit but was quick to beat the into their ears the drum of consistency.

“We are in high spirits and we working really hard to ensure we finish among the top three teams in our group,” Ayeni told Daily Post.

“This is not the time to relent or allow complacency to set in. We must not allow recent results get into our heads.”
