Lobi Stars defeated Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League match day 11 reschedule game on Wednesday in Jos, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Makurdi based team won the five-goal thriller tie which ended three goals to two the New Jos Stadium.

In form forward, Nyima Nwagua equalled score for the reigning champions in the 90th minue from an Ebube Duru corner kick, but Elijah Ani's stoppage header made sure the three points went to Lobi Stars.

The win keeps Lobi Stars six points ahead of Rivers United after playing one match more than the Pride of Rivers.
