Ikorodu United head coach Sam Okpodu is radiating with belief that his team can grind out a result at four-time NPFL champions Kano Pillars this Sunday.

Okpodu's confidence stems from his side's impressive 3-1 win over Heartland at the Agege Stadium in Lagos last Saturday, and he now believes they can go to Kano and nick a result.

However, Okpodu knows that it will be a Herculean task to inflict a defeat on Pillars in Kano on the back of their loss to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba in midweek.

"Our win against Heartland is in the history books. Our focus now is Kano Pillars with hope of possible three points or a draw. We know the task is not going to be easy. But we want to thank our fans and supporters for their support in our last home win against Heartland," said Okpodu.

Ikorodu United are bottom of the NPFL standings with nine points from 14 matches.
