Doma United have maintained the top spot of the Nigeria Premier Football League after securing a vital away point at Ikenne against Remo Stars on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Savannah Tigers played a goalless draw against the Sky Blue Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne in the match day 10 encounter.

It would have been a different score line as Sikiru Alimi had a chance to put the hosts in front in the 10th minute, but a point blank save by Kingdom Osayi left the score goalless.

16 minutes later, Dayo Ojo was in  a one-on-one situation with goalkeeper Osayi but Osayi made another saved to keep the score line goalless at halftime.

Osayi continued to be the difference between the two sides, as a Samad Kadiri's shot was saved by the goalkeeper 5 minutes after the restart.

Osayi was called to action once again by Sikiru but the goalie tipped the ball over the bar in the 78 minute of the game.

Remo Stars continued their search for a goal, but Osayi and the Gombe based side kept the clean sheet and held on to secure the one point on the road.

A result which kept the Tigers top with 18 points after 10 matches while the sky blue side are 4th on the log with 16 points with a game at hand.
