FC IfeanyiUbah captain and right back, Chibuzor Oknokwo has dubbed as a-must-win the clash against newcomers, Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC.

The Nnewi-based side will host the Lagos outfit in Thursday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 18 clash at the Gabros International Stadium in Nnewi.

Okonkwo said his side need the whole points against MFM FC as well as Niger Tornadoes on Sunday to chance challenging for the summit before the midterm break.

“We are 100% ready to battle with MFM FC for the three points at stake in the crucial encounter.

“We know the task ahead especially in today’s (Thursday) clash against the newcomers, MFM FC and the Sunday’s tie against Niger Tornadoes.

“These two home matches are must win games for us to stay in contention for the summit before the midterm break.

“The opponents for today (Thursday) and Sunday are not in same class with Enyimba whom we lost 0-2 in Umuahia.

“That’s not to write off the two teams as cheap but we know that Enyimba are no pushovers, bigger than FCIU and the other two teams.

“We have corrected the mistakes that saw us lose to Enyimba and the impact will be seen when we take on MFM FC, Niger Tornadoes and other opponents on the calendar.

“Three points are nonnegotiable in addition to two unreplied goals against MFM FC at the end of hostilities,” said the former Heartland strongman to supersport.com.

FC IfeanyiUbah are ninth on the 20-team Nigerian top flight on 26 points from 17 matches.
